Postal Service Center
DoD ID is required for any transaction at the Post Office.
Have email notification and receptacle number on hand in case systems are down.
Packages may not be left at counter unattended.
It is against regulations to open your mail in the Post Office. You will be asked to leave immediately if you do so.
A special power of attorney and Standing Order form is required to check another member's receptacle/pick up packages.
Customer Service
Check mail receptacles at least once a month.
If you are going on leave, TDY, deployment for more than 10 days, place your mail on hold to ensure it is not returned to sender.
We can assign mail receptacles within 45 days of members arriving.
Customers must out-process the post office prior to leaving RAF Alconbury or RAF Molesworth.
We do not sell stamps or postage for Royal Mail.
Retirees: maximum weight to receive/send is 16oz. Parcels mailed to Retirees will be returned to sender if they exceed 16oz and are not authorized medication.
Check your email for mail notifications and facility closures.
Postal Finance (Parcel Shipping, Stamps and Money Orders)
DoD ID is required for any transaction at the Post Office.
We only accept debit/credit cards for payment; no cash or checks.
Max girth: Priority packages – 108 inches // Standard packages – 130 inches.
Transit Time: Express-3-5 days guaranteed (must arrive to destination before inquiring about a refund) // First Class/Priority 10-14 days // Standard- 3-6 weeks.
With the exception of documents, all other mail items will require a customs form. (Express pieces require a customs form regardless of contents).
Surprise/Kinder Eggs are NOT authorized.
APO to APO is a free service with certain limitations. Please speak with a clerk for further information.
