RAF Alconbury CDC, which is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), accepts children from six weeks to 5 years of age (and not yet eligible for kindergarten). Care is available weekdays from 0645 until 1715. Childcare is requested through Military Childcare.com. Applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a priority system given first to single- and dual-military families. Once offered a spot, parents must complete an enrollment package.

Give Parents a Break (GPAB) is a special program for parents and families, in conjunction with the Air Force Aid Society, that provides child care for families who are in need of some extra support. A referral voucher is required from the Squadron CC, First Sergeant, Doctor/Medical Professional, Family Advocacy, or M&FRC. To register, families must bring their voucher and updated shot records (to include a current influenza vaccine) to the CDC or Youth Program. Please note that a new referral voucher is required for each event. You will need to have a current (within 12 months) AF 1181 Air Force Youth Flight Program Patron Registration paperwork on file and complete a brief program orientation at the time of registration. Registration deadlines are the Friday the week before the event.

Parents Night Out/Day Out programs give parents an opportunity to spend time out. In order for a child to attend the Parents Night Out/Day Out Program they must be signed up no later than Friday the week before the event.
